Langboomboekie – English

One of our clients visited me at our Moorreesburg office about a week or two ago. That morning there was apparently a conversation on the RSG radio station about where to keep your important documents and the word “Langboomboekie” was then mentioned.

You know we have been offering our clients the opportunity for years to keep their “Langboomboekie” up to date and we are guiding them with that, especially where we have drafted their wills and appointed to administer their estates.

As a member of the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa and the Fiduciary Institute of Southern Africa, I am involved with these tasks daily in collaboration with our staff.

We therefore provide a comprehensive service to our customers to assist them in keeping their “Langboomboekie” up to date. However, we need the cooperation of our clients to make it work, because if there is cooperation, we have the necessary evidence that it has taken us less than 6 months to complete such clients’ Liquidation and Distribution Accounts upon death.

The secret lies in collaboration between us and our clients, and it is true that not all clients’ estates can be settled within 6 months due to factors beyond our control, but we always learn and strive to remove obstacles or even better, to avoid it.

Below is a list of important documents and information needed to preserve and send us the copies for preservation so that we can help you better and more cost effectively. The list is not necessarily complete, but we assume you get the idea of what should be there.
